NAKSHA Project (National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations) NAKSHA programme was initiated by Government of India. Under this project, Survey of India is responsible for mapping 133 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across 27 states and 03 Union Territories. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) are being used to capture aerial imagery and generate high-accuracy geo-spatial data layers such as Ortho-rectified imagery, Digital Surface Model, Digital Terrain Models, 3D Mesh Models, 2D/3
