Thermal imaging doesn’t see people. It sees heat. Infrared drones don’t detect faces, clothing, or camouflage — they detect temperature contrast. In cold environments, the human body becomes a bright signal simply because it’s warmer than everything around it. In this demonstration, placing a barrier between the heat source and the sensor alters what the camera perceives. The drone isn’t fooled — it’s just reading a different surface temperature.
