Hersham station is an example of decades of neglect by train and track operators and lack of accountability for them under the last Conservative Government. Hersham is used over 600,000 times a year yet left ramshackle, unsafe and inaccessible. Crumbling stairs, shaking platforms, exposed corrugated roofing and no step-free access are simply unacceptable for commuters who contribute so much to our economy.
