Work has begun on Dubai Metro’s $5 billion Blue Line project, starting with the construction of a 74-metre-high Emaar Properties station in Dubai Creek Harbour, set to become the highest metro station in the world. A major accident was narrowly avoided during Bengaluru Metro construction work early Monday morning when a huge crane toppled at a work site on the Metro Blue Line corridor, which connects the Outer Ring Road.The incident occurred at around 3.45 am during ongoing construction work of the Blue Line, according to officials of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
