You HAVE to watch this!! 🤯 🚨This is NOT a trick to solve the problem, but a way to CHECK a multi-digit multiplication. Students can’t solve the problem using this, it’s a way to check their work after they’ve solved the problem using a method they are comfortable with. You CANNOT work backwards to get the answer to the problem. I am a firm believer in teaching conceptually, this is just a cool method I learned to teach students to double check their answers.
