NASA's Perseverance rover completes ambitious Mars landing
NASA is celebrating its huge success of landing the Perseverance rover on Mars. After a seven-month journey to the planet, the rover will now collect samples from the landscape. Carter Evans has more on the mission.

NASA’s Perseverance rover landing on Mars — one of the most dramatic moments in space exploration. On February 18, Perseverance survived the famous “seven minutes of terror”, screaming through the Martian atmosphere before touching down safely inside Jezero Crater. Its mission: search for signs of ancient life, study Mars’ climate, and collect samples for future return to Earth. A robot from Earth… now exploring another world. 🌍➡️🔴 Science fiction? Nope.
