Ava is a three year old, 65 pound lab that was picked up as a stray by a shelter in AL. The shelter doesn’t get much traffic, so they took her to a vet for safe-keeping until we had room for her. Update on the angel we picked up this morning that was collapsed in Forest Park. He is ancient. We named him Grandpa Otto, gave him the fluffiest blankets, and pain meds to help him. We don’t believe he was hit by a car, but just exhausted and very weak, possibly severe arthritis. He also has urine burn and enjoyed a medicated bath tonight. Just a few days ago, this little pup came to us in a box, cold to the touch and not moving. He gave us quite the scare, he was knocking on death's doorstep. Here he is, about 48 hours later!! Can you believe it?! RENLO is a WARRIOR pup! He's very emaciated so he's not out of the woods just yet, but we think he's going to be just fine and have a beautiful life.
