Scraping the paint off an antique ceiling tin is extremely satisfying. To get all that paint off bit by bit and reveal the bare metal is the best part of restoring these old ceiling tins. I was worried about scratching the tin and tried a plastic scraper but it wasn’t cutting it so I used a metal one instead. Just had to lightly scrape the edges till it popped off.
