We were down 800 meters in the📍Seychelles on a sub dive when we spotted these three deep-sea octopuses. There are 5 families of deep-sea octopuses, with lots of species in each one, so determining a species ID from only footage can take awhile. Lots of different scientists need to take a look at the same footage to sort through and debate all the possible species they could be.
