Cheetah mating is brief, intense, and rarely witnessed. A receptive female attracts one or more males, and mating can occur several times a day over a few days to increase the chances of conception. Unlike lions, cheetahs don’t form long-term bonds—once mating ends, they go their separate ways. After about 90–95 days, the female gives birth and raises the cubs entirely on her own, teaching them survival skills in a challenging landscape.
